چکیده
Abstract The experiment was conducted on Rawa area at Al-Anbar governorate, western of Iraq, during 2021 and 2022 seasons by using 72 olive trees (Ashrasi cultivar) treated with 0, 15, 25 kg per tree from composted common reed waste cow, sheep, poultry manure, also 0 or 50 liters aqueous extract compost. results the statistical analysis showed that Olive were 80 % 20 manure compost its water extract, while improved flowering traits (number flowers branch, percentage hermaphrodite flowers, number fruit set, fruiting, retention compared control treatment under Iraq desert conditions.

Genome sequence of the olive tree, Olea europaea
BACKGROUND The Mediterranean olive tree (Olea europaea subsp. europaea) was one of the first trees to be domesticated and is currently of major agricultural importance in the Mediterranean region as the source of olive oil. The molecular bases underlying the phenotypic differences among domesticated cultivars, or between domesticated olive trees and their wild relatives, remain poorly understoo...
متن کاملPhotosynthetic characteristics of olive tree (Olea europaea) bark.
Functional and structural characteristics of corticular photosynthesis of sun-exposed bark of olive tree (Olea europaea L.) were examined. Stomata are only sporadically present during stem primary growth. Light transmission through the phellem was age dependent, decreasing rapidly in stems older than five years of age. Light transmission was also low in pubescent 1-year-old stems. Light transmi...
متن کاملQTL Mapping of Flowering and Fruiting Traits in Olive
One of the challenge fruit growers are facing is to balance between tree production and vegetative growth from year to year. To investigate the existence of genetic determinism for reproductive behaviour in olive tree, we studied an olive segregating population derived from a cross between 'Olivière' and 'Arbequina' cultivars. Our strategy was based on (i) an annual assessment of individual tre...
متن کاملFoliar Responses of Olive Trees (Olea Europaea L.) under Field Exposure to Elevated CO2 Concentration
Five-year-old olive plants (cvs. Frantoio and Moraiolo) grown in large pots were exposed for seven months to ambient or high atmospheric CO2 concentration ([CO2]) in free-air CO2 enrichment facility. Exposure to elevated [CO2] enhanced net photosynthesis and decreased stomatal conductance, leading to greater water use efficiency. Stomatal density also decreased in elevated [CO2], while the rati...
متن کاملPartial Root-Zone Drying of Olive (Olea europaea var. 'Chetoui') Induces Reduced Yield under Field Conditions
The productivity of olive trees in arid and semi-arid environments is closely linked to irrigation. It is necessary to improve the efficiency of irrigation techniques to optimise the amount of olive fruit produced in relation to the volume of water used. Partial root-zone drying (PRD) is a water saving irrigation technique that theoretically allows the production of a root-to-shoot signal that ...
